Controls Engineer Job at Samay Consulting, Inc
Knowledge, Skills, Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or equivalent with a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience.
Minimum of 8 years of experience in power systems design regarding protection and control.
Must possess a strong technical background and knowledge of protection and control systems for LV / MV and HV power systems.
Must be familiar with power system architectures, troubleshooting tools for protection systems and power systems analysis.
Proven experience with IEC 61850 based substation automation schemes.
Experience with other protective relay communication protocols including DNP & Modbus is highly desirable.
Problem solver and a team player with hands on experience
Customer focused
Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
Ability to travel up to 20%.
Desired Qualifications:
Demonstrated teamwork, quality control, risk analysis and risk mitigation.
Relion relays and SSC600 hands on design and configuration experience.
Strong understanding on SCADA and automation systems.
Proficient with MS office tools including Visio or equivalent and other applicable software programs
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $110,000.00 - $135,000.00 per year
