Position Summary:
We pride ourselves on the culinary creations served from our kitchen, and are looking for an experienced and passionate Cook to help support our team. An excellent Cook must be able to maintain effective, efficient, and safe processes to produce and deliver well-prepared meals.:

Responsibilities:
  • Help produce a varied, creative, and nutritional menu while considering resident’s dietary needs
  • Maintain a high standard of customer service to deliver a premier experience to residents
  • Follow serving size standards and presentation guidelines
  • Provide a high standard of safety and sanitation in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
  • Keep all refrigeration, storage, and working areas in clean, working condition to comply with health department regulations
  • Ensure that the food prep area and kitchen are clean during/at the end of your shift
  • Responsible for properly storing food orders and other supplies
  • Ensure all meals are prepared in a timely manner
  • May be required to assist in the training and development of new associates
  • Perform other duties of a similar or related level as necessary or assigned:
Qualifications:
  • 2+ experience is preferred, but not required
  • Understanding of ingredients, equipment, procedures and various cooking methods
  • Able to stand for long periods of time, up to 8 hours or more
  • Able to stoop and bend
  • Able to lift up to 40 pounds
  • Able to safely work with potentially dangerous chemicals and equipment
  • Able to comply with safety and health code standards
  • Strong communication skills and the able to work in a team environment:
Required Licenses, Registration, Certifications:
  • ServSafe Manager Certification required within 6 months of employment
  • Continued trainings as required by Federal, State and Local agencies for Assisted Living:
