Coordinator, Events & Marketing Job at USA Swimming
Job Summary:
Coordinator, Events & Marketing will be a part of USA Swimming’s Commercial Division, supporting both the National Events Team and the overall marketing efforts of the organization with various projects and assignments.
Essential Job Functions:
- Assist with the operations of all national and international competitions held in the United States.
- Lead on-site team registration at USA Swimming National Events.
- Provide support with data entry and database management for USA Swimming National Events.
- Provide administrative support to the Commercial Team including:
- Managing vendor, contractor, and host contracts
- Produce purchase orders and check requests, and obtain required approvals
- Assist in managing event hotel blocks and event logistics
- Assist with other administrative tasks as requested
- Serve as the staff lead with USA Swimming’s Online Meet Management System (OME) to include providing internal support and assisting with customer service requests.
- Generate event entry reports and communicate with internal staff, coaches, hosts, and volunteers.
- Manage, track, and log athlete and participant waivers for USA Swimming Championship Events.
- Support with data entry and athlete selections for the NCAA Swimming & Diving Championships.
- Assist with management of Times Database and develop full understanding of current and future SWIMS software.
- Develop and implement new data management initiatives.
- Assist with resource editing and updating.
Other Duties:
- Travel and assist with domestic events, as needed.
- Other duties as assigned
Required Skills & Abilities:
- A “can-do” attitude, professional demeanor, and a passion for sport and the ideals of the Olympic Movement.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and customer service skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced multidisciplinary team environment.
- Ability to pass required background screenings and trainings.
- Must be eligible to work in the United States.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in sports management, marketing, related field, or equivalent.
- Minimum one (1) year experience working experience in event planning, tourism, or hospitality.
- Competitive swimming experience preferred.
- Working knowledge of the OME system and SWIMS performance database preferred.
- Extensive knowledge of Microsoft programs, including Word, Excel, Publisher, Access, and Powerpoint.

- This position works in an office setting in the USA Swimming headquarters office in Colorado Springs, CO.
Salary & Benefits:
- Salary range for this position is $21.00 - $25.00 per hour.
- Bonus Eligibility: Based on company performance, this position may be eligible for an annual target bonus of 5%
