Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Program Development
o Industry research, discover needs and create plan of action for custom programs.
o Create Proposals, follow up with contract creation, dissemination, and completion.
o Implementation of program, instructor selection, ongoing monitoring of program compliance, and student success. Post-program follow-up, process improvement, plans for program renewal and support.
  • Course Development
o Research, identify and coordinate with certification boards to be affiliated with (LDH, Board of Regents, NHA, LA Board of Pharmacy, etc.) Ensure program meets national and state criteria via appropriate course materials to encourage student success. Implement materials into online and virtual formats. Supplies inventory, ordering, and organization.
o Structure, monitor and maintain records of student progress and successful completion.
o Work with hospitals to set up clinical experiences (student requirements, schedules, ensuring quality and safe experience that meet both hospital and college standards).
o Development of Policy & Procedures and Student expectations throughout course (maintain records of compliance for both college and certifying bodies)
o Run Course Cost & Break-Even Analysis and Revenue projections.
o Coordinates program advisory committees.
  • Instructor Support
o Teach instructors how to use virtual classroom resources. Problem solves online testing, live-remote classes, and all course materials.
o IT Support– Canvas, Zoom, & 3rd party resources including AAPC and NHA study reviews and practice exams (Accessing computers on campus, email, and LOLA)
o Substitute for instructors as needed. Proctor missed exams.
o Communicate between students, instructors, and administration.
o Problem solving – Time sheets / student issues / Ensure part-time agreements & contracts / lab-materials access and inventory / Student Concerns & Conflicts.
o Instructor recruitment, onboarding, and evaluations.
  • Student Support
o IT Support – same as instructor
o Fielding prospective and current student calls - course offerings, dates/times, availability, platform, payment options, counseling/mentoring. Assisting students registering for courses, on-boarding and ongoing support.
o Tracking tuition payments through Banner and payment plans. Assist with management of tuition accounts receivable.
o Completion certificates, exam set up and proctoring, clinical experiences
  • Marketing
o Student recruitment: maintain interest emails, contact local facilities, high schools, previous students. Monitor class size and adjust course start dates as needed.
o Create and maintain database of potential students, Student referral sources, WIOA officers, Industry partners
o Mail Chimp Email blast communications, Facebook, Indeed, LinkedIn Posts, distribute flyers online and in person, etc.
o Recruitment events

Required Education:

  • Bachelors degree in nursing, masters preferred

Preferred Experience:

  • 3 or more years of post-secondary instruction

Passing pre-employment criminal background screen is required as a condition of employment.
