Job Title: Copywriter

Status: Freelance/Remote

Reports To: Marketplace Manager/Creative Project Manager

About the Role:

This freelance position works closely with the Marketing and E-Commerce teams to develop compelling and impactful content. This role requires extensive knowledge in consumer behavior to conceive and produce engaging content for all marketing channels.

What you’ll do:
Core duties and responsibilities include the following.

• Conceive and produce compelling content for different types of products across a range of categories, including but not limited to: furniture, home décor, toys, auto accessories, and home appliances
• Help refine copy for all current content to ensure consistent messaging across all channels
• Use keyword insights and data to develop content such as product titles, bullets, brand banners, product descriptions, and more
• Provide insights and guidance into B to C communication for home furnishings
• Work with both E-Commerce & Marketing teams to identify best practices
• Identify high-value keyword opportunities with new and existing content.
• Research products to better understand and provide insight into content
• Performs other related duties as assigned or requested

Our Perfect Candidate
Education and Experience:

• Preferred BA/BS in Marketing, Public Relations, Journalism, or English
• 3+ years of copywriting experience of e-commerce marketplaces such Amazon, Walmart, eBay, etc.
• A deep understanding of home furnishing markets, lingo, and consumer base is preferred
• Strong commercial ability with knowledge of SEO principles
• Passion for writing, excellent in spelling and grammar
• Ability to work autonomously and are a self-starter
• Ability to meet deadlines, including single day turnaround times
• Ability to manage multiple assignments at a time
• Excellent time management skills
• An understanding and ability to work with keywords and deep dive into strategy
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
