Corporate Director of Openings and Transitions. The Corporate Director of Openings and Transitions will provide multi-unit leadership, focusing on guest satisfaction, associate satisfaction, and owner satisfaction. Acting as a direct supervisor to General Managers, and supporting the opening and transitions process for new assets, the CDO will provide support and resources, both in person and remotely. Other responsibilities may include but are not limited to the following:
Oversight of all financial aspects of each hotel in portfolio: P & L, CapEx, Forecasting and Budgeting.- Ensures operational excellence for all hotels in portfolio; provides support, critique and guidance to hotels falling short of brand standards and/or company expectations.
- Ensure brand QA Compliance/Performance and approving action plans generated by hotel.
- Acts as liaison between hotel General Manager and discipline coaches, including but not limited to: Sales and Marketing, Finance, HR, Learning, Facilities, PR, Revenue Management and Owner Relations.
- Acts as role model and provide guidance on company culture. Selects, develops, manages and leads management team members.
- Guides, develops and implements policies, procedure and systems to improve business operations.
- Provides leadership relative to annual marketing plans.
- Facilitate with the transition of a hotel between management companies and owner (s)
- Will be responsible for ensuring a successful hotel transition into Hotel Equites portfolio.
- Will manage the staff assigned to each transition, to include but not limited to their Performance, Pay, Paid Time Off and Transitions expenses.
- Assist and support hotel with obtaining all required business applications and access to brand specific platforms
- Obtain and review shared services expenses with incoming and or exiting Management Company. Facilitate conference calls with respective discipline and communicate if service will continue or be canceled. Ensure Shared Service is properly executed through the terms of the agreement.
- Provide recommendations for a successful transition
- Provide direction to Owner/ franchisee through policy interpretation, and make recommendations on policy revisions of brand standards.
- Work with owners, on-site management and third -party management companies, to ensure they properly represent the brand and are receiving the brand support committed by the company. Open properties on time, on brand and with standards in place.
- Conduct regular monthly conference calls to monitor pre-opening action plans and pre/post-opening revenue generation, to ensure that assigned sales and marketing tasks are completed in order to achieve Revenue and Profit goals, from the time of the RAMP meeting through the Post Opening Visit.
- Educate on-site hotel teams about brand and operating standards, culture, sales and marketing initiatives, and revenue management tools. Foster positive hotel relationships through consistent on and off-site communication.
- Ensure that all required documents filled out pre-opening are accurate for our internal stakeholders
- Communicate with Account Executives and Senior Manager of Owner and Brand Representatives regularly regarding hotel opening date.
- Strict adherence to brand critical path during pre-opening stage of a property.
- Ensure HE policies and procedures are adhered to at the property level and work with the department heads and new General Managers during initial onboarding week to achieve optimum efficiency.
- Assist in onboarding new General Managers and other personnel within the region, as needed. Provide training and guidance on the property level accounting function, including but not limited to, budgeting and forecasting.
- Support the Regional Director – Operations and VPO’s in property visits, performance evaluations, progressive improvement, and performance management.

- Travel 85% of the time. Valid Passport required.
- Flexible on location
- M3 experience is a plus
- Great ownership relations
Education, Certifications or Licenses Needed:
Minimum 2 years’ experience in hotel industry- Experience in multi-unit leadership strongly preferred
- Sales experience preferred
- Opening General Manager experience required
