Occ Summary

Perform a variety of courier and delivery duties utilizing a motor vehicle as necessary to ensure the proper distribution of messages, mail, materials and supplies, monies, and bank deposits to various areas within the department as well as outlying locations. Within the clinical laboratories, we embrace Duke’s purpose, placing the patient at the center of everything we do. Work Performed

Pick -up, sort, and deliver incoming mail; meter outgoing correspondence and p packages, record postage charges to appropriate departmental component codes for billing; replenish postage in postage meter on an as-needed basis. Maintain equipment and activity log to include records of delivery activity, vehicle mileage, and other dispatch information. Maintained store room and other assigned areas in a clean and orderly manner.

Minimum Qualifications

Education

Work requires the ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions generally acquired through partial high school education.

Experience

Work requires six months of delivery experience.

Degrees, Licensures, Certifications

Valid NC driver's license.
