SCHEDULE: Per diem, weekdays between 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Operates vehicle: Transports equipment to pick up emergency and other supplies; loads and unloads truck alone or with the assistance of others; secures items appropriately when transporting (padding, rope, etc.); conducts minor routine services to truck on a regular basis (gas, oil, wash and clean, etc.); and reports needed repairs to Manager of Materials Management.

Picks up mail from post office and post office boxes.

Banking: Makes deposits, buys change for cashier, etc.

Delivers materials to members of Board of Trustees.

Delivers specimens, supplies and reagents to other labs and makes pick-ups at blood bank.

Makes scheduled and unscheduled daily pickups for department: physicians’ offices, nursing homes, Plan Operations, Surgery, Nutritional Services, etc.; delivers special request items to department upon return to hospital. Keeps manual records of daily trips.

Assists with receiving and supply distribution as needed.
