We are currently seeking a Full-time CPAP Technician

The CPAP Tech will report to the Director of Respiratory Clinical Services.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

Comply with all applicable company policies, procedures, and patient protocols. Comply with all current government regulations and professional standards respecting patient care.

2. Develop and maintain technical/working knowledge of current PAP products and services offered by ProTech, and all applicable governmental regulations.

3. Process PAP paperwork on a daily basis according to ProTech policies and procedures.

4. Educate patients in proper use and care of PAP equipment, including fitting masks.

5. Perform preventive maintenance on PAP equipment and enter into Brightree according to ProTech policies and procedures.

6. Assist in resolving patient equipment problems.

7. Process all CPAP/BiPAP equipment returns according to ProTech policies and procedures.

8. Educate patients on PAP supplies and replacements guidelines.

9. Document all information necessary to ensure reimbursement for all appropriate equipment, products and services.

10. Maintain PAP inventory for the designated branch and conduct monthly inventory counts according to ProTech policies and procedures.

11. Collect co-insurance payments due and arrange patient payment plans according to ProTech policies and procedures.

12. Schedule patients for PAP setups, new PAP supply, mask fittings/exchanges, etc. according to ProTech policies and procedures.

13. Assist walk-in patients with troubleshooting equipment, downloads, mask issues, pressure changes, general questions, etc.

14. Report equipment hazards and/or product incidents as required in accordance with ProTech policies and procedures.

15. All other duties as assigned.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Possess high school diploma.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Previous experience or successful completion of factory training seminar for home medical equipment preferred.
  • Must carry personal liability car insurance with a minimum limit of $100,000.

Required Licenses / Certifications:

Valid Driver's license with clean driving record

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must currently live in, or plan to move to (at your own expense) a reasonable commute to Columbia, TN.
  • Courteous Customer Service (internally and externally)
  • Must love helping People (both internally and externally)
  • High level of attention to detail
  • Able to manage multiple priorities and close the loop when interrupted
  • Must be able to pass background requirements and drug screenings
  • Must have valid driver’s license with proof of clean driving record

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Occasionally lift/move up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to stoop, bend over, kneel, sit or stand for extended periods of times as needed to meet customer’s needs
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms, and talk and hear. The employee is required to sit and stand.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
  • This position requires the ability to drive an automobile
  • Must be 21 years of age to comply with company auto insurance regulations.

PTM offers a competitive wage of $17.00/hour, plus benefits which include: paid holidays, PTO, group health insurance, as well as a retirement plan.
