CRP's goal is to provide crisis prevention, intervention, training, and follow-up services as support to community homes, day programs, and families. CRP works specifically to decrease police involvement and unnecessary hospitalizations, and to increase the success of consumers in the community and caregivers' ability to handle future crises. CRP strives to help address the mental health needs of individuals with developmental disabilities. Many consumers that CRP serves are dual diagnosed with developmental disabilities and mental health disorders.
