Criticalist / RACC Job at Pieper Veterinary
Pieper Memorial Veterinary Center is currently seeking a board-certified or residency trained criticalist to join our Resuscitation & Critical Care (RACC) department. Pieper Memorial is a complete ER/Specialty hospital with Internal Medicine, Neurology, Surgery, Diagnostic Imaging, Avian/Exotics, and Oncology departments. The RACC department consists of one boarded criticalist, dedicated technicians and assistants, and department-specific client liaisons.
Criticalist responsibilities:
- Daytime shifts. No swing/overnight.
- Case management of critical and hospitalized ICU patients.
- Collaboration with specialty departments on treatment plans. We are proud of our team-based culture!
- Oversee rotating interns when on service.
Pieper Memorial is VECCS Level I certified with an experienced emergency department. Criticalists work closely with emergency doctors and provide support for critical and unstable cases but are not responsible for receiving emergency cases directly.
Our hospital is committed to providing our clinicians with the tools that they need. Our state-of-the-art facilities include multiple ultrasounds, wireless Fukuda Denshi telemetry, 64-slice CT, 1.5 T MRI, C-Arm with neurovascular platform, Maquet Servo-U ventilator with NAVA and volumetric capnography and minimally invasive surgical equipment. Pieper Memorial also has a Antech reference laboratory in the building with an on-site clinical pathologist.
