This Logistics Manager is responsible for developing, owning, and executing on North American transportation and logistics strategy and tactics across the Crocs/Hey Dude brands including delivery to our end customer. This position supports strategic alignment and supplier network management through innovative operational excellence, timely performance, development of strong supplier relationships, and cost control.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Develop Crocs and HEYDUDE global and regional transportation/logistics playbook to assist the Supply Chain and Operations leadership and the respective sites in making strategic and tactical decisions to optimize customer service and delivery
- Support both brands purchasing organizations in determining long-term strategy for transportation group by investigating and implementing best-in-class carrier selection and relationship / partnership management for quality performance, simplification, and cost efficiency
- Assist in monitoring current and future freight volumes to anticipate and adjust to capacity and network challenges
- Staying on top of market trends and shifts in Identify optimization opportunities (through detailed data analytics) and carrier fit to achieve short and long-term supply chain objectives
- Set personal performance targets and objectives, lead quarterly performance reviews, providing constructive feedback on accomplishments and areas for improvement
- Stay current with industry trends through supply chain conference attendance, industry publications, etc. to development and grow skillset and share learnings and best practices with team members
- Ensure that monthly, quarterly, and yearly KPI's are prepared and published as appropriate
- Drive TCO (Total Cost of Ownership) and CI (Continuous Improvement) Programs throughout the companies carrier Network
- Perform annual RFQ process to ensure continuous improvement, competitive freight rates and accessorial costs to drive cost out for each of the respective lines of business
- Develop analytical models of our shipping data to support annual pricing negotiations with Carriers while initiating RFQ's when needed and assist in leading negotiations for freight contracts
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE
- Bachelor's Degree Required in a relevant field (Logistics, Operations, Supply Chain, Business Analytics, Statistics, Finance preferred)
- 5-7 Years in a transportation, logistics operations or analytics roll
- 2 Years of management experience preferred
- Strong analytical capabilities - Excel, Statistical Modeling, Power BI
- Ability to navigate systems (ERP, SAP, WM, etc.)
- Outstanding communication and organization skills. Strong Influencing skills capable of maintaining positive internal/external relationships
- Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire your team
- Knowledge and experience in all modes of transportation including Small Package, FTL, LTL and Intermodal Rail
- Understanding of flow of goods in supply chain (i.e.: warehouse fulfillment, transload, DC Bypass or Cross Dock flows)
- Ability to partner with and hold Crocs business partners/vendors accountable
- Approximately 2 - 3 weeks of travel per quarter, including industry conferences
