Who We Are Looking For:

  • Are you the CSEC Specialist we have been looking for? In this position you will be able to convey your passion for helping others by working with our youth!

In this role you will work with Lindencroft Group Home and My Life My Child team members to provide a Commercial-Sexual Exploitation of Children framework to all program activities thus ensuring that all services are youth centered and responsive to the complex needs of individuals involved in CSEC including a history of CSEC, recent involvement in CSEC, exposure to CSEC, family/friends/permanency connects in CSEC, or risk of future CSEC.

The CSES Specialist will be an integral member of the treatment team of each youth who has an identified risk or history of CSEC. Although the frequency and intensity of CSEC support will vary from youth to youth to support each youth’s individual needs, we expect that the CSES Specialist will provide group work and individual support to youth for an average of 2-4 hours per week per youth.

JRI Provides The Training So That:

  • YOU will develop a comprehensive CSEC policy and protocols that align with best practices.
  • YOU will serve as part of leadership team to ensure all systems incorporate a CSEC perspective.
  • YOU will oversee prevention services including training, running groups for the youth, consult, and programs.
  • YOU will create a diverse, non-judgmental and engaging culture for improved outcomes for exploited and high risk youth.
  • YOU will participate in trauma-informed programming specific to sexually exploited youth.
  • YOU will participate in clinical case reviews for all youth with identified CSEC risk to help build effective treatment plans with CSEC perspectives.
  • YOU will train staff to develop skills and expertise around the trajectory of recovery from exploitation. Hold monthly consultation and advanced training sessions for all staff
  • YOU will support JRI team members in developing and performing intake assessments that address immediate CSEC related concerns including increased likelihood of running, connections with former clients/pimps, and dangerous behaviors related to CSE past.
  • YOU will support staff in identifying specialized mental health services and other services as necessary including substance abuse services.
  • YOU will collaborate with other JRI team members to develop appropriate support services, life skills, education, vocational, and placement plans for each youth. Work with JRI team members to develop a specialized safety plan that addresses the specific risks, including access to technology, faced by youth who have experienced CSEC.
  • YOU will serve as a community liaison to support youth in connecting to community resources including clinical, vocational, medical and recreational resources to prepare them to safely return to permanency connection with mitigated risk for CSEC.
  • YOU will develop community connections with local partners to support the safety of youth served in the community. This may include developing safe opportunities for employment and education, and working with partners to ensure clear communication of risk.
  • YOU will support youth in accessing the services of My Life My Choice, a JRI program that specializes in empowering vulnerable youth to be agents of change in their own lives and in the movement to end CSEC. This includes facilitating connections to Survivor Mentors to keep them apprised of programmatic events.
  • YOU will work with local police departments to resolve safety concerns including AWOL concerns, CSEC concerns, and safe understanding of the role of law enforcement for youth served

Requirements:

  • Must be 21 years or older.
  • Minimum 2 years experience working with populations at high risk for Commercial-Sexual Exploitation of Children (CESC).
  • Residential program or mental health program experience preferred; experience working with specialized populations of adolescents preferred.
  • Must maintain a valid drivers license.
