Summary

Join us for an incredible opportunity to be a part of our Culinary Team as a Garde Manger Supervisor! The Culinary Supervisor will support “A Seattle Collection”, a multi-property cluster comprised of Grand Hyatt Seattle, Hyatt at Olive 8 and Hyatt Regency Seattle.

The Culinary Supervisor must have basic understanding of kitchen operations within the hotel. The Supervisor is responsible for producing a consistent, quality product that meets and exceeds the guest's needs in a timely manner. Our Garde Manager Culinary Supervisor has basic skills in department training and is capable of assuming department responsibilities in the absence of a Sous Chef. Skills and knowledge to include culinary education, basic cost control understanding, basic communication, leadership skills and computer skills. May assist in monitoring payroll costs and overtime. Responsibilities include the supervisor of hourly cooks.

Qualifications

  • Requires good communication skills
  • 4 years of previous line experience preferred
  • Culinary leadership experience preferred.
  • Understanding and experience in Garde Manger preferred.
  • Culinary Degree or related hotel experience preferred.
  • Candidates should be able to perform all basic, intermediate, and advanced cooking skills.
  • Able to work multiple stations in the kitchen.
  • Able to work a varying schedule, including evenings, weekends and holidays
