We are seeking a Customer Service Installation Technician who will be responsible for safely Installing various types of bulk liquid and gaseous cryogenic supply systems (Nitrogen, Argon, Helium, Oxygen, CO2, and Hydrogen).

Job Overview:

We are seeking a Customer Service Installation Technician who will be responsible for safely Installing various types of bulk liquid and gaseous cryogenic supply systems (Nitrogen, Argon, Helium, Oxygen, CO2, and Hydrogen).

Primary Responsibilities:

Individual will be required to, under minimal direction from Supervision an Installation Technician plans, coordinates and performs a variety of duties to install, all types of Gaseous and Cryogenic storage Units. Normally this is done independently of direct Supervision. This position requires up to 85% travel away from home base.

This will require continuous compliance of all company/industry specific safety policies, without exception.

  • Able to communicate/correspond professionally with counterparts, customers, vendors, and Linde sales department
  • Proficient in with the following: Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, internet searches, smart phones and tablet data entry devices
  • Tech typically works an 8 to 10 hours per day
  • Day travel required, utilizing Linde issued service vehicle, throughout the north region customer service territory
  • Capable of operating service vehicle and have a clean driving record, with knowledge in the practice of defensive driving technique
  • Applicant must display habits such as being a self-starter,capable of multitasking, possess timemanagement skills, and capable of planning their overall work order priorities
  • Display the ability to communicate professionally with management, sales, the call center, and customers

The candidate will train at the Linde National Training Center, which is located in East Chicago, Indiana. Training forum is college level classes one week in duration requiring completion of prerequisite prior to actual training class.

Must be a team player who is ingrained into our everyday safety culture and to possess integrity.

The following experience and core competencies would be highly beneficial for this position:

  • Being able to read a print, understand P&ID's, materials of construction, layout and installation drawings
  • Instruct and supervise outside personnel, such as: crane, electrical, and mechanical contractors
  • Brazing, pipefitting, and/or TIG welding
  • Electrical trouble shooting capabilities
  • Troubleshooting/service experience/knowledge of: regulators, solenoids, check valves, different types of mechanical valves (both manual and automatic/solenoid), gas analyzers, piping and fittings, pressure relief devices, and rupture discs, honest and trust worthy.
  • Familiarization with various cryogenic storage vacuum systems, mixers, and vaporizers
  • Knowledgeable regarding pressure testing procedures.
  • Knowledgeable regarding the cleaning procedures for components in oxygen service.
  • Maintain stock of needed parts and supplies for service vehicle.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Entry level - 3+ maintenance, repair of mechanical and electrical systems
  • Must be technology savvy and have the ability to use the above-mentioned software and devices
