Job Purpose: As a Customer Service Representative, you are a focused and communicative team member. You provide exemplary customer service to those inquiring about and using the Veterinary Center.

Pay: $17/hour

Schedule: 32 hours/week; set schedule of Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday

• 8 hour shifts will vary between 7:30AM am start time to 5PM end time.

Location: Primarily at our Golden Valley, MN and occasionally at our St. Paul, MN (University Avenue Veterinary Clinic) site

What you will be doing as a Customer Service Representative:

Customer Service — Assist clients in a positive and professional manner. Communicate with clients in person and via phone and email. Prepare and ensure proper paperwork and consent forms are completed prior to services and provide discharge paperwork and after-care instructions after appointments.

Process — Obtain, record, and communicate complete and accurate pet health information. Coordinate clinic and wellness schedules. Provide accurate and efficient preparation and processing of client and patient paperwork. Communicate customer concerns, maintenance, or supply needs to direct supervisor. Make reminder, follow-up, and no-show calls for surgical patients.

Support — Assist veterinary staff with intake and discharge. Ensure the lobby is kept organized and clean.

What we are looking for:

Schedule — Regular, predictable attendance, punctuality, and availability to work during operational hours as defined by leadership with the expectation to work varied hours including weekend shifts.

Experience — Customer service experience preferred.

Computer Skills — Proficient with computers, specifically, a working knowledge of Microsoft products.

Adaptability — Ability to work in a professional and positive manner with high attention to detail in a variety of situations and the willingness to assist.

Communication — Excellent interpersonal and communications skills, must have ability to work as a team member and partner collaboratively with external and internal customers and departments.

Physical & Emotional Capabilities — Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
