Customer Service Representative - South Beloit, IL

The Customer Service Representative position serves as a primary point of contact for assigned customers – internal and external.
JOB RESPONSIBILITY SUMMARY
- Serve as customer service and reception utility resource
- Frequently communicate with customers via telephone, email and online chat.
- Ensure appropriate action is taken to resolve customer questions and concerns
- Follow up on purchase order and sales order status
- Answer phones, direct calls, and web site queries
- Maintain and support all necessary written documentation
- Provide administrative and clerical support as needed. This includes use of MS Office software to create Word documents, Excel spreadsheets, Power Point slides and graphs.
- Perform inside sales activities as needed
- Comply with all safety policies, practices, and procedures; report all unsafe activity to supervisor or Human Resources
- Participate in team efforts to achieve departmental and Company goals
- Performs other related duties as required
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES

Education
Required: High School Diploma or GED
Preferred: Associate’s Degree
Experience
Required: 2 years’ clerical experience
Preferred: 3 years’ clerical experience in customer service, HR, accounting and/or supply chain within a manufacturing environment
Special Knowledge/Skills
Required: Strong communication skill set – active listening, verbal and written, detail-orientation and strong organizational and time management skills. Proficient MS Office computer skills including Word, Excel, Power Point, and Teams. Self-motivated to problem solve in a team-based culture.
Preferred: Experience using Infor Visual and advanced MS Office skills including spreadsheets, graphs, etc.
