Position Summary
The Customer Service Specialist position is responsible for providing quality and efficient customer service to our customers and our sales teams. The position will report to the Customer Service Manager.
Responsibilities
  • Process incoming orders received.
  • Handle incoming calls and provide answers to customer inquiries.
  • Manage customer service emails which include orders, inquiries, and complaints.
  • Manage returned goods process and resolution for customers.
  • Work with Finance department on credit holds and short pays.
Education and Experience
  • Minimum 2 years of experience working in a customer support/inbound call center environment.
  • Solid knowledge and understanding of SAP, or similar ERP system, required.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes a plus.
  • Comprehensive computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (i.e., Outlook, Excel).
Additional Skills and Qualifications
  • Ability to complete assigned tasks with minimal daily supervision.
  • Proven track record of demonstrating self-motivation, independent thinking and problem-solving.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate effectively and professionally with customers as well as with as all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to ‘think outside the box’ and to have a proactive mindset.
  • Quickly acquire knowledge on the product lines supported.
  • Display high sense of urgency to quickly find solutions.
