Cybersecurity Analyst Job at Washington County, OR
As an IT Cybersecurity Analyst, you will operate as the primary Incident Handler, whose authority and scope of responsibility crosses organizational lines. You will develop guidelines that will be used by other Cybersecurity Incident Response Team (CIRT) members in the course of incident response, which have an impact on broad County goals. In this position, you will lead by further evolving the Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) and Vulnerability Management solutions for potential security risks, recommending mitigation or countermeasures, and resolving security integration issues related to the implementation of new systems within the existing infrastructure.
In the position of Cybersecurity Analyst, after-hours work may be required as needed and will include on-call rotation to support a 24x7 operation. Additionally, this position is a hybrid position with 3-4 days a week working remotely.
The ideal candidate:
The ideal candidate will be knowledgeable in computer hardware/software and Network technologies as well as in hardware/software diagnostic and corrective methodologies. They will possess a solid understanding of the methods and procedures for change management operations; and cybersecurity best practices, methods of mitigation, countermeasures, and resolving cybersecurity integration/implementation issues.
The successful candidate will have the skills to provide timely and accurate information to team members and business process teams when communicating project statuses. As well as coordinate and communicate effectively between different customers, vendors, regional and local support. The ideal candidate will have the ability to analyze complex technical problems and provide logical and effective solutions in order to plan, organize, and document complex security-related activities and configure systems to be consistent with County policies and procedures. The successful incumbent in this role will have the capability to resolve priority conflicts in order to ensure deliverables are met and documented, with minimal supervision.

- A Bachelor's Degree in computer science, business administration, or related field; AND four (4) years of experience providing professional-level information technology analysis and support; OR
- An Associate's Degree in computer science, business administration, or related field; AND six (6) years of experience providing professional-level information technology analysis and support; OR
- Eight (8) years of experience providing professional-level information technology analysis and support.
- MCSE (Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer)
- MCSA (Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator)
- CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Administrator)
- JNCIP-ENT (Juniper Enterprise Routing and Switching)
- Must be a U.S. citizen or National
- Must pass full background, including fingerprint background verification
- Must pass FBI CJIS Level 4 certification, IRS 1075 Safeguard, HIPAA privacy, and County security awareness courses.

The premise of salaried/exempt employment is that established compensation recognizes the time and effort needed to accomplish all assigned job duties. Regular and limited duration full-time employees working 30 hours or more per week and job share employees are eligible for benefits beginning on the first of the month following employment.
