We are a marketing company located in the heart of Torrance. As we expand our company, we are looking for an Entry Level Data Analyst to join our team!

*This is not a remote position, and does require that you are able to commute daily to our office in Torrance, California.

As a data analyst, you’ll support our team by developing, implementing, organizing, and maintaining information and reports to document operational and financial performance. Success in this role will require great attention to detail, organizational and mathematical skills.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Interpret data, analyze results using statistical techniques and provide ongoing reports
• Develop and implement databases, data collection systems, data analytics and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality
• Acquire data from primary or secondary data sources and maintain databases/data systems
• Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets
• Filter and “clean” data by reviewing computer reports, printouts, and performance indicators to locate and correct code problems
• Work with management to prioritize business and information needs
• Locate and define new process improvement opportunities
• Researching client organizations and industries – primarily, but not restricted to, financial services, consumer goods/retail, and tech/media/telecom
• Contributing to the development of company intellectual property

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business or Information Systems or equivalent work experience preferably in a manufacturing environment
• Experience in custom reporting tools
• Exceptional analytical and conceptual thinking skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to communicate effectively
• Good documentation skills to create training/user manuals
• Ability to handle multiple project tasks
• Ability to identify and implement process improvement
• Passion for results in a team-based environment
