Koch Global Services (KGS) is searching for a Data Center Analyst to join our infrastructure team. This role will be a part of a growing global team that supports and maintains our enterprise-class data centers along with our remote edge data center solutions for Koch Industries. In addition to supporting our data centers, you will partner with colleagues to develop and implement innovative solutions to streamline services for our customers. The individual in this role will need to thrive in a dynamic environment and challenge the status quo. They will need to be able to drive continuous improvement with the ability to prioritize the highest value work. To be a successful candidate you will need to have strong critical thinking and communication skills. You will have experience with being proactive and seeking out customers’ needs and developing wholistic solutions.

Our Team


The KGS Hosting team delivers reliable, secure, and resilient infrastructure platforms that enable our partners to achieve and accelerate their business outcomes. We manage the enterprise's server infrastructure, including Windows, Linux, and VMWare server support, Data Center Services, Storage, and Backup & Recovery Systems. We are currently transforming to implement modern infrastructure management practices such as 'Infrastructure as Code’, 'Data as a language’, and embracing a DevOps mental model to better support and enable the businesses.

What You Will Do

  • Evaluate data center systems and components to understand risk and develop mitigation recommendations.
  • Develop and manage standard operating procedures to maintain a highly reliable and secure environment.
  • Work with other IT teams to verify connections or replace data center equipment.
  • Share and implement innovative new ideas and tools; optimize and automate existing products.
  • Work with 3rd parties and vendors to troubleshoot and support electrical and cooling issues at remote sites.
  • Design and create scopes/plans/SOWs for others to execute with your oversight.
  • Document asset locations, processes, alerts, and problem reviews as appropriate

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • Experience managing or supporting data center support systems.
  • Experience with cable installation and management, inclusive of troubleshooting and remediation
  • Experience managing 3rd party vendors to complete tasks.
  • Ability to participate in an on-call schedule.

What Will Put You Ahead

  • Data Center (DCCA, DCP, CCNA, etc.), ANSI/TIA or BICSI certifications
  • Electrical (install, manage, troubleshoot, etc.) experience or certifications
  • Experience with facility infrastructure and the management of those systems and services
  • Experience and understanding of network design concept and principles
  • Experience and ability to read and interpret engineering, electrical, and mechanical blueprints and one-line drawings.
  • Experience with project management
