Sentara Health is seeking a Nurse – Health Data Analyst Specialist to support the Cardiac Quality Team!

Our department is responsible for managing healthcare data for regulatory, quality, and maintaining clinical information technology to improve healthcare outcomes, patient care, cost reduction, planning, and reporting.

This position is Full Time Day Shift working Monday through Friday 8am -5pm, Remote from Home.

Responsibilities:

  • Performs clinical auditing and data abstraction of patient records in support of Sentara hospitals clinical improvement and patient safety initiatives, regulatory requirements, and CMS national initiatives.
  • Gathers results of audits and identified trends, and reviews with clinical nurse specialists, unit-assigned clinical staff, performance improvement staff, and physician quality task forces.
  • Must have good EPIC experience.
  • Knowledge of anatomy and disease processes required.

Licenses/Experience:

Licensed Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse required.

Two years of Nursing experience required.

Complex problem solving, Microsoft Office, good time management and computer technology experience.

Other: All new RN's who do not have their BSN will be required to sign a BSN Agreement committing to enrollment in an accredited RN to BSN program within 24 months of hire and successfully obtaining their BSN within 5 years of hire.
