Redwood Credit Union is looking for a Data Architect to join our team. The role is based onsite in either Santa Rosa or Napa, CA.

As the senior technical expert, this position will work closely with software development teams and analysts to create data structures based on business needs. The Data Architect is responsible for ensuring the confidentiality, availability and integrity of database systems by monitoring systems. This position will also oversee creating reports, and the supporting architecture to deliver those reports, using Business Intelligence and Database Tools.

The Data Architect must collaborate across the organization and will be working with current and emerging technologies, while guiding teams to delivery through strong leadership. Excellent analytical skills, team-oriented work, innovative thinking, problem solving, conflict management and self-led discovery are required.

What's Needed From You

Data Management 50%

• The successful candidate will lead the organization in data management strategies, develop and implement databases, data collection systems, data analytics, data warehouse and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality
• Acquire data from primary or secondary data sources and maintaining databases/data analysis systems using SSIS
• Leading Data Governance committee to define enterprise data

Data Analysis 30%

• Interpreting data, analyzing results using statistical techniques and providing ongoing reports
• Using Business Intelligence tools to perform predictive and prescriptive analysis of data. Create data visualizations and dashboards using a BI tool

IT Leadership 10%

• Inspire a shared vision of data architecture, while fostering an environment where data is used in meaningful ways that drive business decisions and outcomes

Education/Experience

• A combination of education and experience equivalent to a bachelor’s degree in in Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Information Management or Statistics or equivalent work experience in a closely related field.
• 5 plus years’ progressively responsible experience in developing applications with some combination of the following programming tools: SQL, TSQL, SSRS, SSIS, SSAS.
• Experience with service-oriented architecture (SOA) principles and web services standards is a plus.

Compensation: Base starting range is $124,000-$154,000, commensurate with experience.
