Data Processing Specialist Job at Child Start, Inc.
Provide technical support and new employee training for all program software platforms. Prepares child outcomes, family outcomes and Child Plus reports and recommendations for further training. Assists Data Manager to provide effective and efficient management of Child Plus, ongoing child assessments, PIR and Head Start data management systems. Provides data for community assessment, strategic plan development, work plan and self-assessment.
- Provides technical support that ensures efficient operation and maintenance of all 0-5 program operating and reporting systems.
- Assists Data Manager and IT Manager with software and hardware purchasing, setup, and technical assistance.
- Collaborates with Data Manager and Training and Development Manager with regards to developing, planning, scheduling, and ensuring attendance of staff data entry training. Ensures all staff understand the purpose, the performance standard/regulation, the reasoning, the use, and the importance of the data being entered.
- Assesses and shares information with program managers regarding efficiency and productivity of staff.
- Analyzes and evaluates a variety of information; organizes, interprets and presents in meaningful oral and/or written form for varied audiences (including staff, outside organizations and the Office of Head Start) and provides solid analysis leading to sound decision-making.
- Continues professional growth, formulates goals, seeks feedback, applies new skills, and participates as a team member with colleagues; researches areas of best practices and system improvement to be implemented.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Business Administration, or Computer Science or related field preferred and/or specialized training or certification.
- Requires one to three years of related experience. Requires a working knowledge of standard practices and procedures.
- Ability to analyze data, identify trends and trouble shoot solutions.
- Requires high level of computer literacy. Previous experience using ChildPlus preferred.
- Supports problem solving and decision-making by staff.
- The employee must occasionally lift and/or move objects or materials up to 30 lbs. without assistance.
