Job Title:
Databricks Application Administrator
Location Type: Remote - US-AZ-Scottsdale (local preferred)
Contract Duration: Long Term

Overview:
Under general supervision, the Databricks Application Administrator deploys, supports, and administers the Databricks application in the cloud. Management of Databricks tenants which will include workspace creation, user management, cloud resources, and account usage monitoring.
Responsibilities:
Perform Application Administration for Databricks in the cloud according to customer team best practices
Assist employees by answering questions related to Databricks
Support the planning of Databricks deployment
Advise on architecture and scaling for Databricks environments
Collect user requirements and set up data storage, notebooks, and compute to fulfill business use case
Serve as a point of contact for technical issues in the environment
Monitor usage, report on cost management, and participate in cost planning
Ensure updates, status and completion information is communicated to stakeholders accurately and timely
Stay current on the latest industry technologies, trends and strategies
Complete work in a timely and accurate manner while providing exceptional customer service
Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:
This position requires a minimum of three years’ experience data administration experience, from setting up the Databricks environment to successfully administering it
Experience as the Databricks account owner, managing workspaces, audit logs, and high-level usage monitoring
Experience managing cluster and jobs configuration options
Coding skills in SQL and Python (PySpark) with experience optimizing code
Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS)
Retail (IT) experience preferred.
Proven ability to meet established service levels, availability, performance, data privacy, and security guidelines is necessary.
This position requires good verbal and written communication skills.
The ability to work efficiently under pressure, accurately meet deadlines and present a professional demeanor is essential.
Ability to work independently and in a team, multi-task, and manage multiple projects to meet various deadlines simultaneously is required.
Customer service skills, including the ability to manage and respond to different customer situations while maintaining a positive and friendly attitude are essential.
Maintaining confidentiality, treating others with respect and upholding Company values are key attributes.
In addition, organizational and problem-solving skills, a can-do attitude, and the ability to adjust to changing requirements are essential.
Education:
This position requires an associate degree in Computer Information Systems or related field or equivalent work experience.
