SCHEDULER
- Modifies the delivery plan and schedule for a single terminal on a daily basis to meet network requirements based on delivery windows for both inbound and outbound deliveries
- Continuously modifies the plan for a single terminal daily/weekly based on volume projections and unforeseen challenges
- Alters driver schedule to accommodate any unforeseen circumstances on a daily basis
- Monitors tractor utilization to ensure company's assets are used in accordance with plan
- Coordinates driver resources with other terminals as needed
- Works closely with other business units to ensure freight is planned and/or executed successfully
- Responsible for updating driver statistics and other shipment planning analytics on a daily/ weekly basis
- Resolves escalations if within parameters, reports to higher parties if unable to resolve
- Must be able to fulfill the duties of Dispatcher
- Escalates Partner concerns to the appropriate Partner as necessary
LOAD PLANNER
- Develops the delivery plan for multiple terminals on a daily basis to meet network requirements based on delivery windows for outbound deliveries
- Continuously works as the liaison between Retail Operations and Distribution in respect to Delivery requests
- Determines weight and cube capabilities based on trailer resources
- Coordinates overload and overweights with warehouse and delivery operations Partners
- Monitors and coordinates, trailer utilization, store curfews, drop and hook trailer program, store salvage pick up schedules and storage trailer drops
- Order Delivery Schedule (ODS) modification
- Conducts analysis of all relevant data provided by Transportation Management System to ensure efficient delivery as needed to meet customer demands
- Makes recommendations based off of TMS analysis for network delivery troubleshooting
- Escalates Partner concerns to the appropriate Partner as necessary
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION PREFERRED
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Proficient job set knowledge both technical and subject matter in distribution scheduling/planning
- 3+ years of proven ability to work with multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast pace work environment
- Advanced PC skills to include MS Office
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with attention to customer service
- Demonstrates ability to exercise foresight necessary to anticipate unforeseen challenges
- Excellent time mgmt skills
- Ability to meet deadlines
- Strong interpersonal skills
