Revenue Cycle Liaison is responsible for aiding the GM, Analytics and Compliance with emphasis on Revenue Cycle Support. 1. Working in office in Germantown and Bethesda Offices (3 days) | Remote (2 days). 2. Responding to patient and staff inquiries and escalations 3. Verification of Referrals and Authorizations 4. Benefit and Denial assistance.

Role / Duties & Responsibilities _________

Sona Dermatology is searching for a Revenue Cycle Liaison with exceptional patient service and communication skills to join our corporate team. This position will serve as an advocate for our practice and patient’s concerns and do applicable research to provide clarification. This role is well-suited for an individual with a background in Dermatology Revenue Cycle Management specific to the District of Columbia/Maryland area. This position will report to the GM, Analytics and Compliance, role duties and responsibilities are not limited to:

  • Explanation of Patient Eligibility and Benefits
  • Assistance with Denial Management
  • Clarification of Patient Accounts
  • Education to Staff in Dermatology
    • Coding Guidelines
    • Billing Regulations
    • Payer Expectations
  • Customer Service
• Management of Referrals and Authorizations
• Patient Collections
• Self Pay Queue / Allocations

Capabilities Experience / Expertise / Education _______

Required Education

• High School Diploma or equivalent

Preferred Education

• Certified Professional Biller (CPB)

OR

• Certified Professional Coder (CPC)

Required Experience

• Revenue Cycle Management
• Payer Rules and Regulations
• Customer Service
• Dermatology Coding and Billing
• Referrals and Authorizations (in District of Columbia and/or Maryland )

Preferred Experience

• Credentialing and Contracting (in District of Columbia and/or Maryland)
• Ability to mitigate complex patient concerns and inquiries in a professional manner
• Exceptional follow-up, research, and problem-solving skills
• Knowledge of medical practice management and EHR software and systems. Preferably EMA/Modernizing Medicine (EHR and PM system)
• Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing; ability to present complex information and respond to questions from patients, teammates, and managers
