VG is looking to hire an Instrumentation and Control Designer for its Lithium Processing Facility (LPF) facility design, Department Of Energy Project, in Oak Ridge, TN. This is a Full-time Long-term position. Possibility for Hybrid Remote role depending on experience, location, etc.
Responsibilities include:
- Designing and specifying all the instrumentation and controls needed for monitoring and controlling the LPF process
- Managing distributive control systems (DCS) and/or programmable logic controllers (PLC) is a plus to power distribution systems for the LPF facility
- Actively involved in developing designs and diagrams including single line diagrams, wiring diagrams and schematics, panel layout drawings, cable/conduit sizing, etc.
- Coordinate with various stakeholders for requisite information to complete design deliverables on schedule
- Conduct and attend progress meetings from time to time
Qualification & Skills:
- Minimum 5 years of Instrumentation and Control designing experience on relevant projects
- Associate's Degree in Instrumentation and Control Engineering or related field
- 3D Modeling experience required
- Smart Plant Instrumentation (SPI) 3D experience is highly preferred
- Energy Industry experience is highly desired
- Pay ranges from $30-$60 / hr depending on experience and other factors
