ECC is seeking a Desktop Publisher in Lakewood, CO, or Burlingame, CA. This position is primarily responsible for using publishing software to design advanced page layouts comprised of text, graphics, and other supporting material for print or electronic publication of Company proposals and related marketing materials. This includes being the production lead for our proposals, presentations, sources sought, market surveys, and other solicitation responses. This position also supports the management of production materials inventory, and the internal system for storing our proposal graphics and photos. In this position, you will:
- Designs, lays out, produces, publishes, packages, and coordinates the delivery of electronic and print proposal documents prepared in response to Federal government solicitations.
- Acts as a team leader for production, publishing, and content management assignments with the authority to review and edit the work of less experienced team members, as required
- Works on assignments that require considerable judgment and initiative in resolving issues or in making recommendations
- Develops and maintains templates with style sheets for proposal production, including presentations, source sought documents, and statements of qualification in accordance with corporate marketing Standard Operating Procedures, Department guidance documents, and Company branding standards
- Develops and maintains department graphics standards in conjunction with Graphic Design lead
- Provides recommendations regarding the most effective visual methods for highlighting the essence of subject matter within Company documents
- Develops proposal templates and ensures document designs meet layout requirements in compliance with RFP requirements, Department guidance documents, and Company branding with the highest quality in mind
- Compiles documents for internal review meetings utilizing Department version control procedures
- Assembles and prepares production deliverables, including developing tabs, printing, copying, binding, scanning, compiling files, electronic media, and shipping of proposals and related documents for final delivery per the RFP
- Works with the Proposal Manager to develop a realistic production schedule
- Archives electronic files upon completion of the proposal including implementing proposal file closeout process, and updating photo and graphic databases
- Provides desktop application support, including file conversions, scanning, graphics importing, and document breakout or assembly
- Maintains the inventory of production materials and printer supplies and any needed maintenance; coordinates with other proposal centers to ensure consistency of supplies
- Ensures version control, file naming, and file availability on MS Teams/SharePoint
- May serve as Proposal Coordinator for IDIQs and large complex proposals, including developing and maintaining proposal contact lists, completing RFP forms (SF30/33; Representations and Certifications); consolidating color team review comments; comparing RFP and amendment documents in PDF format; consolidating RFIs and answers; coordinating data call; coordinating document signatures, and consolidating lessons learned comments
- Supports general day-to-day proposal operations
- Participates in lessons learned process
- Handles multiple work assignments concurrently, adheres to strict deadlines, and is accountable for work performed
- In addition to the accountabilities above, other responsibilities, tasks, and deliverables may be assigned to the incumbent of this position
Requirements
- Highly skilled in using MS Word in the production of large, multiple-section, and or multiple-volume publications.
- Demonstrated strength in providing high-quality documents
- Exceptional communication skills
- Ability to accurately manage large volumes of electronic data and supporting visual files in an organized format to support business processes
- Proven ability to meet goals and deadlines
- Proven success in completing significant word processing projects on schedule
- Advanced knowledge of copying and binding systems
- Highly skilled in using the Microsoft Office suite of products, email systems, and Windows
- Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite application
- Five years of hands-on experience supporting corporate marketing and proposal efforts through a desktop publishing function
- Education: This position requires an associate’s degree in Business Administration or a related field. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted for this requirement.

- APMP Foundation Level Certification
- Expert level proficiency in MSOffice Suite (specifically MS Word)
- Advanced knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite application
- Experience with content management systems (MS Teams/SharePoint)
- Preference for US Government clearance
ECC targeted salary range for the Denver Colorado area is $61,017 to $94,445 annually.
The actual salary offered may be affected by education, training, certifications, experience, skills, level of responsibility, and location
