Provide technical assistance to computer users. Answer questions or resolves computer problems for employees in person, via telephone or remotely. Provides assistance with the use of computer hardware and software, including printing, installation, word processing, email, operating systems, and dental software. Upgrades, maintains, and supports all physical equipment. Researches/troubleshoots issues that require a more in-depth look from the tier 1 Desktop Support Technicians. Escalates issues as needed to the System Administrator and Director of Information Technology. Works closely with third-party dental software support to keep equipment and services running smoothly.

What you'll do

  • Installs and performs repairs to hardware, software, and peripheral equipment, following design or installation specifications specified by IT Manager.
  • Installs, troubleshoots, maintains, and supports dental and office software.
  • Answers user inquiries regarding computer software or hardware operation and resolves problems for end users.
  • Sets up equipment for employee use, performing and ensuring proper installation of physical computer equipment, operating systems, and appropriate software.
  • Maintain records of daily data communication transactions, problems and remedial actions taken, or installation activities.
  • Reads technical manuals, confers with users, and conducts computer diagnostics to investigate and resolve problems and to provide technical assistance and support.
  • Refer major hardware or software problems or defective products to the appropriate vendor, and escalate any and all problems as needed to IT Manager.
  • Enters commands and observes system functions to verify correct operations and detect errors.
  • Complies with: Dental Depot policies and procedures; OSHA policies, procedures, rules, and regulations; and HIPAA policies, procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Position may be required to relocate to other Dental Depot clinics either permanently or on a short term basis due to office needs, on an as needed basis at the discretion of Management.
  • This position may complete other Administrative and Maintenance tasks as assigned by Management.
  • Maintain regular and reliable attendance
