The National Diaper Bank Network(NDBN) leads a nationwide movement dedicated to helping individuals, children and families access the basic necessities they require to thrive and reach their full potential…including clean, dry diapers, period supplies, and other basic needs. Launched in 2011, NDBN is dedicated to creating awareness, providing assistance, and building community. In 2018 NDBN founded the Alliance for Period Supplies, which helps ensure that individuals in need have access to essential period products required to fully participate in daily life.
Due to growth, we have created a position as a Development Assistant, reporting to the Chief Development Officer. This position handles the administrative and public relations support aspects of fundraising and donor development. This includes assisting with donor relations, maintaining donor information, and creating reports as needed.
Primary Duties
· CRM management including entering offline donations, updating donor information, and creating reports as needed
· Manage third party platforms to monitor donor activity, verify matching gifts, and ensure compliance requirements are completed in a timely manner
· Create and mail thank you letters to offline donors and prepare/send tax receipts as needed
· Assist with the development of donor communications including newsletters, appeals, etc.
· Monitor email and voice mail for the department and provide timely responses or forward to the appropriate people to handle
· Provide office support as needed
Qualifications/Requirements
· High School Diploma
· At least 1-3 years of administrative experience, preferably in fund development, fundraising, or non-profit settings
· Comfortable with building relationships, offering courteous customer service, and communicating with diverse audiences.
· Ability to complete work independently in a focused and timely manner while managing multiple projects at once.
· Demonstrated ability in Word and Excel.
