Parsec Inc. is an intermodal company looking for experienced diesel technicians to work in our Elwood, Illinois location at the BNSF Logistics Park Chicago Rail facility. 24/7 operation with all 3 shifts. Shift placement and off days are based on Seniority and work demand. Must be willing to work any shift.
Diesel-Hostler Mechanics

- Apprentice Mechanic will start at $19.50
- Jr Mechanic will start at $28.22
- Sr Mechanic will start at $33.50
Summary: Diesel-Hostler Mechanic will perform routine maintenance functions and adjustments on diesel and hostler equipment in compliance with the manufacturers and company schedules
Diesel-Hostler Mechanic
Responsibilities:
- Follow a checklist of inspection procedures
- Test drive vehicles to diagnose malfunctions
- Perform routine maintenance functions and adjustments on all types of hostlers, diesel equipment, forklifts, and trailing equipment, in compliance with the manufacturers and company schedules
- Must have your own tools (Heavy Duty tools are supplied)
- Cummins Insight, Cummins diesel engines and D.E.F. systems are helpful, but we provided training.

Qualifications:
- Ability to lift in excess of 50lbs
- Open availability (24/7/365) available to work nights, weekends, and holidays that fall on your rotation.
- Willingness to work in varying weather conditions
- Valid Driver’s License
- Experience with maintaining heavy equipment in either the Construction, Transportation, or Intermodal Industry
- Must have your own tools (Heavy Duty tools are supplied
