Conduct diagnostic testing on gas and diesel automobiles. Examine findings of diagnostics tests. Replacing vehicle engines, transmissions, steering systems, gearboxes, braking systems
tire replacement and balancing as well as other auto related items. Inspect lighting systems and electrical components. Test drive vehicles to evaluate their performance. Keep detailed records of vehicle serviced. Maintain cleanliness of workspace. Welding experience preferred but not required. Ability to bend, kneel or stand for extended periods of time. Ability to pick up and carry up to 100 lbs with assistance.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Carefully observe safety measures pertaining to shop materials, equipment, and property
• Perform all assigned points of inspection
• Faithfully report condition of vehicle parts
• Determine priority of repair
• Consult with Parts to complete an estimate for the customer
• Maintain a personal complement of tools to be used to service vehicles
• Keep detailed logs of all parts, fluids, and hours associated with each project
• Explain mechanical diagnoses and required repairs in a non-technical manner to service advisors and customers

THE RIGHT CANDIDATE WILL POSSESS:

• Master Automotive Technician (Preferred)
• State License or ASE Certification
• 3+ years Electrical and Drivability experience
• Familiarity with scan tools
• Detailed attention to record keeping
• Understanding of the operation of shop equipment
• Have excellent problem-solving abilities
• Team oriented, flexible and focused on maintaining a high level of customer service
• Ability to work with minimal supervision
• Driver's License and clean driving record
