Interstate NationaLease is looking for an experienced diesel mechanic in the Montgomery, AL area to assist us as we bring value to the competitive success of our customers. Hours are 1:30pm- 10pm

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

• Inspecting, troubleshooting, diagnosing, and performing repairs and maintenance on equipment. Engine diagnostics a plus.
• Perform safety inspections of equipment and prepare safety documents required by the DOT, company and any other Federal, State, or Local regulations.
• Interpret work orders and technical manuals.
• Repair or replace defective parts, components or systems.
• Test repaired equipment for proper performance and to ensure that the work meets manufacturer’s specifications and legislated regulations.
• Maintain safety of customers and employees.
• Generate work orders using applicable computer systems

Qualifications for this position:

• At least five (3-4) years of related experience; certificate from diesel mechanic trade school preferred
• Pass pre-employment DOT physical and drug screen
• Minimum of 20/40 corrected vision as outlined by the DOT
• Valid drivers’ license (CDL a plus)
• Have own tools.
• Provide their own leather, safety steel toe, oil resistant sole shoes
• Must possess strength and stamina required to work with heavy equipment and work in awkward positions
• Able to work in a fast-paced work environment. Work alone as well as a team.
• The ability to keep up with changing technology and updates

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $26.19 - $28.58 per hour
