POSITION SUMMARY
Under the direct supervision of the Clinical Nutrition Manager and Patient Dining Services Supervisor, provides administrative and clerical support to the department in the area of patient diet orders, menus, meal choices, food preferences requests, pantry supplies and patient meal delivery. Participates in meal tray assembly and customer service centered meal delivery.
BASIC KNOWLEDGE
High school diploma or Technical program equivalent. Dual enrollment in high school and college coursework will also be considered. Completion of coursework in basic nutrition, basic food science, and diet therapy preferred. Other courses or continuing education sessions may be required based on individual needs as determined by the Department Director and/or Clinical dietitian, to ensure competency.
EXPERIENCE
Previous healthcare nutrition and food service department experience preferred.
