Digital Content Specialist Job at Master Lock
The Digital Content Specialist is a highly motivated, creative individual with experience and a passion for connecting in the digital space with current and future customers and consumers. This passion comes through as he/she engages with customers on a daily basis, with the ultimate goal of leveraging transactional sites as well as marketing to new channels, engaging with customers and enabling conversion to purchase. An essential component of this role is communicating the company’s brands and value proposition in a positive, authentic way which will attract today’s interconnected buyers. This role is primarily responsible for the creation and deployment of compelling written content that drives buyer engagement through various digital channels in the pursuit of winning the Digital Shelf. Leveraging experience in search engine optimization (SEO), search engine marketing (SEM), paid advertising, and other key experience, the specialist will develop, refresh, and implement content changes on supplier information portals and Product Information Management (PIM) systems, including, but not limited to Amazon Vendor Central, Home Depot Item Data Management, and others.
Success in this role requires a mind that thrives on creative problem-solving, storytelling, an understanding of the way people make purchase decisions, and a skill for translating complex information into simple messages.
The position works collaboratively as an integral member of the Content Team within the Security Ecommerce Pod. Working in an AGILE framework, the specialist will leverage experience in SEO, product information, and core marketing acumen to continually explore opportunities to increase conversion on customer websites. Under the direction of the Sr. Manager, Digital Content, and in collaboration with the Item Data Management Specialist, Visual Content Specialist and other pod members, this role will be essential to the success of the company with a focus on proactive enrichment of the product catalog across all customers, as well as fielding requests for from both external and internal stakeholders.
This role will frequently with the company’s Analytics, Sales and Marketing teams to execute the digital marketing strategy for The Master Lock Company’s e-commerce channel.
This position is instrumental in managing the company’s digital content-related assets.
Responsibilities include:
- Manage and support content operations of the eCommerce Product Catalog for The Master Lock Company brands.
- Support and partial ownership of Digital Catalog Data for key retailers, including coordination with internal and external teams where necessary to measure performance and impact of content changes.
- Traffic and syndicate product content across key retailers via direct API, template exports, and retailer content portals.
- Ensure that content is stored, updated, and syndicated through customer PIM systems (Syndigo, Amazon Vendor Central, Home Depot IDM, Syndigo, and others).
- Coordinate with other specialists on new item setup for the launch of new items on retailer channels.
- Assist in the deployment of brand and store content, enhanced content, and brand.com website content.
- Support PDP projects, including innovation, content optimizations, revamps, brand store pages, and enhanced (A+) content.
- Perform regular content audits utilizing insight tools and retailer scorecards to continually assess the efficacy of content’s impact on sales performance. Ensure existing brand, category and product pages maintain accuracy
- Assist in the creation and execution of optimization plans to increase product ranking. Measure the impact of content updates on PDP performance.
- 3+ years’ experience working with eCommerce retail channels, including Amazon, Home Depot, and Walmart, among others
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or similar
- Strong background in non-owned SEO – agency experience a plus
- Experience working with data analytics, data sets, and SaaS platforms
- Experience with Salsify, Syndigo or similar PIM preferred
- Experience working with large product catalogs preferred
- Knowledge of basic HTML preferred
- Experience working in an AGILE methodology/team a major plus.
- Proficiency in software applications such as PowerPoint, Excel and Word.
- Willingness to travel occasionally domestically
