Position Summary:
The Digital Marketing Automation Analyst at FC Cincinnati will be responsible for coordinating all email campaigns to maximize ticket sales revenue, data acquisition/lead generation, fan engagement, and fan communications. This position is also responsible for analyzing and reporting on email initiatives to maximize campaign performance, including A/B testing, audience segmentation, and customized fan journeys. This position’s main responsibility will be to execute, end-to-end, on all email campaigns including ticket sales, marketing, and fan communication emails. The position will work closely with Marketing, Graphic Designers, Ticket Sales, and others to ensure all emails are sent in a timely manager. This position will also manage weekly, monthly, and quarterly email newsletters, matchday communications, and post-event surveys, along with assisting in management of the FC Cincinnati and TQL Stadium email database. This position will have cross-functional responsibilities in marketing and business intelligence.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Maintain email marketing calendars for FC Cincinnati and TQL Stadium
- Work with Digital Marketing Manager to plan and execute best-in-class email marketing programs for FC Cincinnati, including, customized fan journeys, segmented emails to drive ticket sales, and engaging content in newsletters
- Own day-to-day execution of email campaigns - creating, proofing, testing, sending, and reporting
- Analyze, report, and act on KPIs for email performance metrics including deliverability, open and click through rates, conversion/bounce rates, and database growth over specific time periods
- Assist with the Marketing and Business Intelligence team’s analytical efforts, including analyzing industry trends and designing & testing methods to help deliver best results and drive continuous improvement (ie. A/B testing, frequency, time of day, subject lines, content, etc.)
- Create, update, and maintain email templates using graphics, personalization, and advanced Salesforce Marketing Cloud features
- Responsible for accuracy, timeliness, and consistency of all emails and related campaigns
- Become a general email marketing subject matter expert in and out of the Sports Industry
- Other duties as assigned
Skill Requirements:

- Must possess strong organizational skills, be self-motivated and creative. Ability to juggle multiple priorities within an extremely fast-paced, ever-changing environment
Qualifications & Education Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or similar field required
- 1+ years of experience in email marketing
- Working knowledge of HTML/CSS. Email-specific experience preferred
- Experience with CRM systems (preferably Salesforce), lead generation and nurturing, marketing automation, email marketing, and reporting. The ideal candidate with have an analytical, data-driven mindset
- Experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud or similar email service platform preferred. Technical and strategic knowledge of Salesforce and Salesforce Marketing Cloud or similar email marketing platforms
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. Strong copywriting and proofreading skills a must
- Ability to work outside of regular business hours including but not limited to weekends and holidays as required by the FCC game schedule, special events, and projects
- Must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 and provide verification of vaccination prior to start date
