SAN RAMON, CA company is hiring a Digital Print & Bindery Production Operator. The experienced person will have a digital print and bindery background. This is a full-time position, Monday-Friday, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. Willingness to work a swing or night shift, and occasional weekends are required. Health insurance is available to regular full-time employees that work at least 30 hours per week after 3 months of consecutive employment. This is not a graphic design position.
WHAT WE PRINT:
Postcards, flyers, letters, booklets, posters, labels, stickers, large format banners, and other products for direct mail and fulfillment distribution.
SOFTWARE & EQUIPMENT SKILL SET:
- Ability to work with Adobe Creative Suite products for output & design (i.e. Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat, InDesign).
- Set up art files for digital printing, color calibrating, imposition, creating bleeds, crops, etc.
- Print finishing (scanning/creasing/cutting/drilling/hole punching/lamination/mounting/padding/stapling/coil binding).
- Operation and light maintenance of wide format printers and RIP software.
- Run and maintain various digital printing machines (Canon is a plus).
- Experience with various graphic file formats.
- Operate a digital cutter.
- Mechanically inclined.
TEAM PLAYER:
- Follows established guidelines and procedures for receiving, documenting, and organizing print projects.
- Completes all necessary paperwork for department procedures.
- Understands deadlines and knows how to prioritize.
- Good communicator – verbal and written.

- Frequently required to sit, stand, talk and hear.
- Required to stand, walk, and use hands to finger, handle, feel, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, climb or crawl.
- Specific vision abilities including close vision, keen color detection and identification.
- Lifting heavy substrates boxes or wide format roll stock.
- Tolerance to sustained hours working on a computer; various substrates, print toners, plastics and laminates, dust, warm and cold temperatures.
- Able to stand or sit for 3.75 hours at a time
