Spirit Logistics Network is actively seeking a Director of Operations, to join our Operations team. The Operational Team leads the servicing of stores, utilizing either company run facilities or third party, for cross docking/distribution operations driving enterprise efficiencies. By working side by side with our Logistic partner provides all the opportunity for process improvements, which solidifies a best-in-class practice to ensure achievement of Key Performance Initiatives, quality, cost and customer satisfaction. The Director will be responsible for the effective movement of freight through the various shipping stores in the market or markets that the individual oversees along with maintaining the client relationship with minimal travel.

Responsibilities:

  • Directing, coordinating and monitoring the daily activities & performance of Logistics Managers within the Region to ensure compliance of standard Company policies, procedures, quality and safety.
  • Lead team in the delivery of high productivity while maintaining quality and customer service.
  • Managing relationships with Logistic/Retail operations report cards to ensure operators are meeting and or exceeding Key Performance Indicators
  • Continuously monitor operational performance metrics and adjust activities to meet or exceed performance expectations and customer satisfaction.
  • Coordinate as necessary with other departments (i.e., Store Operations, Planning, Purchasing, and Corporate) to ensure Logistics operations are completed efficiently and effectively and issues are resolved expediently.
  • Conduct on site visits with the operators to ensure all aspects of that delivery service are met.
  • Participate in the preparation of annual operating budgets for all functional areas of the Field Logistics Operations.
  • Monitor budget for: labor, supplies, company assets, maintenance and repair and fourth-party contracts.
  • Regularly review Operations Summaries and Reports and performance metrics with management teams and solicit recommendations for improvements of service and efficiencies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree is preferably in (Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, Materials Management or Industrial Engineering preferred)
  • 8+ to 10 years of experience/knowledge of Logistics, and Supply Chain or Field Operations Management, including transportation, distribution, warehouse operations and customer service.
  • Willing and able to travel up to 25%. Demonstrated experience as a change agent with the ability to develop and implement best practices.
