Job Summary:
To develop the cooperative's service area by marketing the attributes of the service area to both commercial and industrial businesses with expansion and/or relocation plans; to attempt to ensure that GreyStone Power Corporation is the power supplier to all customer choice commercial and industrial power loads within the service area.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Effectively seeks commercial and industrial loads to service area.(a) Establishes and maintains contact with architectural and engineering firms, developers,Contractors, and bankers doing business in the GreyStone Power's service area.(b) Verifies accuracy and assures promptness of all prospect requested information.(c) Works with each prospect in the use of load management techniques and rate incentives, as required.(d) Ensures that all necessary contacts with Oglethorpe Power Corporation are maintained toadequately describe service requirements and to provide other pertinent informationnecessary to secure an Electric Service Agreement.(e) Coordinates power supply requirements and communicates this information to appropriateGreyStone Power personnel.
2. Provide services to selected key account customers.
3. Maintains knowledge of current electric utility practices.(a) Provides advice and assistance to GreyStone Power personnel and prospects on theinterpretation of the Georgia Territorial Electric Service Act.(b) Maintains membership in appropriate professional associations, attends functions as workload allows.(c) Maintains current knowledge of wholesale and retail rates.(d) Monitors Public Service Commission rate hearings and actions in Georgia.
4. Actively participates in community relations to increase GreyStone Power's visibility and enhance knowledge of potential projects.(a) Maintains membership in the Georgia Economic Development Association.(b) Maintains consistent contact with the Georgia Department of Industry, Trade, and Tourism. Maintains membership in the Chambers of Commerce associated with the service area, serves on committees as requested.(c) Maintains a working relationship with various county development authorities.

Required Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Requires Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience preferably in Marketing or Engineering with at least seven years experience in a related field.
- Requires the ability to clearly present and express information verbally; to persuade or influence others through written proposals and oral presentation; to identify, incorporate and comprehend the critical elements of negotiations for commercial and industrial new business.
- Requires the ability to develop an effective knowledge of retail rate application, national, state and county electrical and building codes; developable areas and development requirements; GreyStone Power's policies and procedures.
- Requires a working knowledge of electric service area assignment and development requirements for electric plant installation and the generation network in Georgia, including the Integrated Transmission System.
- Must hold a valid Georgia drivers’ license is required.
- Must satisfactorily pass the EMC's employment physical and drug screen.
- Current or past business involvement with organizations such as development authorities, Chambers of Commerce, etc., preferred.
Physical Demands (if applicable):
May not have business interests involving commercial real estate which may be construed to present a conflict of interest. Normally in an office environment, however, some outside work involving site and building investigations is required. Stressful conditions frequently occur due to deadlines and competitive atmosphere. Business travel and irregular hours are required.
