Yuma Regional Medical Center is a 406-bed facility located in sunny, southwestern Arizona. We have a main hospital campus, off-site cancer center, outpatient laboratory services, and numerous clinics as a part of our medical group, including a primary care facility in the Foothills. We are looking for a talented Director Finance to join our team!

Summary

The incumbent is responsible for designing analytic solutions that provide mechanisms for dissemination of data and information to financial, clinical, and operational leaders throughout the organization. Ensures integrity of the financial and statistical data by coordinating the effort to eliminate error in the system that feeds the database. Oversees patient level cost accounting, budget analysis, and financial decision support reporting (market share analysis, cost accounting, budget variance, statistical reporting, external comparison, and areas of financial risk). Manages the installation and utilization of the Strata Decision Support analytical software system. Provides leadership for data warehousing, business intelligence, data governance, and creates a healthcare data dictionary that relates to clinical, revenue cycle, budget, quality, payroll, and productivity information. Oversees the implementation of continuous strategic improvement initiatives involving technology conversions and new applications. Works closely with Revenue Integrity and Managed Care leaders to provide charge capture and payor analysis information in order to maximize revenue opportunities. Works to create Labor Productivity benchmarks for the labor management system.

Responsibilities

Designs tools to implement the company’s Analytic strategy as it relates to financial, service line, and labor reporting. Directs the Cost Accounting functions of all organizational entities. Proactively alerts management to operational issues as it related to financial performance. Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders to understand current and future information and data needs that align with the business strategy. Maintain the Strata Cost Accounting system and create reports that enhance the strategic initiatives of the institution. Demonstrates compliance with departmental, institutional, State, and Federal regulatory policies and procedures. Other related duties as required.

REQUIRED: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related field and 8+ years of related experience with progressive leadership.

PREFERRED: MS/MBA and 8+ years of related experience with progressive leadership. Knowledge of Strata, EPSi, Tableau, Epic, Infor, Lawson, Excel
