Director of Admissions, School of Business Job at Emory & Henry College
About this position
The Emory & Henry School of Business is actively seeking someone to serve as Director of Admissions, School of Business to help drive outreach, community engagement, and graduate program recruitment. We need someone with experience communicating powerful learning experiences as well as someone who can build and maintain relationships with enterprise partner institutions. You will be part of a team that has an integral influence on leadership development in Southwest Virginia.
Responsibilities:
- Create and execute enrollment plans to meet enrollment targets
- Maintain accurate tracking of outreach activities and prospective student data in the admissions database
- Develop and implement an automated communication strategy to ensure effective outreach and engagement with prospective students
- Collect and review application materials to ensure timely and complete submissions ? Coordinate effectively with brand marketing team and lead generation partner(s)
- Participate in the development of departmental budget and monitor its implementation
- Identify new opportunities for Corporate and Non-Profit Partnerships
- Work collaboratively with career services to ensure student quality and to ensure accurate data collection
- Work effectively with faculty program directors to effectively engage them in the recruitment and retention process
- Support Executive Program Delivery for School of Business Executive Programming
- Supervise Student Employees who support Graduate and Executive Education programs
- Perform other duties as delegated by the Dean with prior agreement
About our ideal candidate
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree REQUIRED, experience in an undergraduate Liberal Arts college a plus.
- Sufficient experience in a collegiate environment to understand an academic culture and demonstrated ability to effectively interact with faculty, staff, students, and administrators
Skills & Abilities:
- Experience in Presentation of Workshops or Public Speaking
- Experience in Education, Admissions, or Corporate Relations
- Evidence of Entrepreneurial Mindset, as well as Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills
- Demonstrated ability to organize and work independently as a leader and as part of a team
- High level of customer service; collaboration, exceptional work ethic; attention to detail; organizational, problem-solving, and follow-through ability
- Salesforce or relevant CRM experience
- Capability to understand and communicate the value of a liberal arts education
- Ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality
- Proficiency with MS Office and database management experience.
- Good interpersonal skills with a demonstrated commitment to cultural diversity
