Director of Behavioral Health Integrated Services

The Director is responsible for the clinical vision, development, and implementation of the Health Center’s new primary care and behavioral health integrated services. The Director develops and recommends goals and objectives for the Behavioral Health Department and assesses performance in relation to identified goals and strategy, recommends new approaches and policies to effect improvement in the efficiency and scope of services provided. Prepares and implements recommended policies and procedures. The Director works collaboratively with the Chief Medical Officer and other clinical and operational leadership to ensure effective integration of behavioral health services into primary care to increase the quality of care for our patients and families. Additionally, this position is responsible for assuring that the behavioral health programming, partnerships and reporting are developed to support achievement of ACO and quality contract requirements. The Director is the leader and champion for developing a sustainable model for behavioral health integration with primary care and other services, makes recommendations to senior management on developing a fiscally sound plan for sustainability. The Director works collaboratively with health center leaders in efforts to support a shared vision for successful integrated primary care and behavioral health services. A Masters or Doctoral degree in related field strongly preferred, active licensure in Massachusetts required. At least five years of clinical social work practice with a minimum 3 years of management and leadership experience required, preferably in a FQHC. Knowledge and experience with regulatory guidelines and previous project development and project management experience required. Proven track record in personnel management, program development, and quality management desirable. Previous experience with federal and state grants and financial management strongly preferred. Must have the ability to establish effective working relationships with multi-cultural staff, collaborators, community representatives, funding sources, and the general public. Strong written and oral communication skills. Ability to handle difficult and stressful situations effectively and calmly with the ability to model appropriate, respectful and effective conflict resolution skills. Computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office suite software a required; experience working with Electronic Health Records systems (Epic) helpful.
