Would know have extensive experience in both commercial and federal government/FAR based contracts, strong negotiating skills and the ability to manage, lead and motivate a team of contracts professionals.

Overview:
Lead the Contracts Department, which includes subcontract management, purchasing, and all other agreements.
- Lead the contracts, subcontracts, and purchasing functions of the company. Manage and oversee the activities of contract managers, contract and subcontract administrators, buyers, etc.
- Directly responsible for managing a portfolio of contracts
- Negotiate company contracts, subcontracts, and other agreements such as teaming agreements, non-disclosure agreements, and MOU/MOA.
- Interface with customer and subcontractor organizations to resolve issues when necessary
- Ensure processes are compliant with the FAR and follow commercial best practices
- Support business development and proposal efforts by negotiating enabling agreements, reviewing RFPs, draft contract terms, etc., and providing necessary input to the capture or proposal team
- Lead the department’s continuous improvement efforts
Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of eight years contract management experience which includes both commercial and federal government/FAR-based contracts- Minimum of two years leadership/management experience
- Working knowledge of FAR, NASA FAR supplement, and DoD requirements
- Working understanding of commercial contract terms, preferably commercial space contracting.
- Must understand the operational impacts of contract content
- Experience with subcontract administration
- Strong negotiating skills. Must have meaningful experience negotiating contracts, subcontracts, teaming agreements, non-disclosure agreements, memoranda of understanding/agreement, etc.
- Superior writing and verbal communication skills
- Experience managing, leading, and motivating teams and departments
- Excellent analytical skills, including ability to plan and organize to achieve desired results
- Proactive and accountable
