Position Overview: The Director of Corporate Real Estate is responsible for real estate solutions within our family of companies. The Director of Corporate Real Estate will manage projects across the county, determine need for additional real estate, research locations to determine appropriateness, as well as negotiate in the purchase of property and lease agreements to meet the organization's needs. Additionally, this individual will have autonomy over facility maintenance for 60+ buildings within the transportation industry.

Job Responsibilities:

• Responsible for asset and property management of 61 owned and 180 leased assets across the country (Portfolio consists of over 950,000 SF of buildings spread over 13.8 million SF of land)
• Manage all aspects of improvement projects, including due diligence, entitlements, budgets, design, engineering, permitting, project scheduling, and construction from initiation through completion
• Initiate, direct, and lead the evaluation of potential acquisitions, dispositions, and leasing opportunities
• Develop and implement strategies that drive cost saving opportunities within the company lodging program
• Oversee and maintain compliance within multi-state property tax regulations
• Work across multiple departments to align the corporate goals and objectives with their associated real estate needs
• Oversee our real estate department and maintenance staff in their endeavors to provide real estate solutions to our company
• Create roadmaps with our executives to determine future real estate needs companywide while providing market forecasting
• Travel as needed to current and prospective properties across the country

Job Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Real Estate, Business Administration, or another related field. And/or equivalent work experience
• Real estate license preferred but not required
• 3 to 5 years of business/industry work experience, with experience in commercial/corporate real estate, property/facilities management, construction management and lease negotiation
• 5+ years managing properties in a senior management role
• 5+ years of experience managing maintenance staff
• Proven team and project management and communication skills
• Strong work ethic with the ability to multi-task and problem solve
• Experience establishing and managing project budgets.
• Experience working with a startup or fast paced work environment
• Ability to travel is required
