Position Summary:
Roman Catholic High School’s Mission Advancement Office is currently seeking a motivated individual to fill the position of Director of Development & Alumni Relations. Reporting to the Executive Director of Mission Advancement, this position will manage the Annual Giving program, grow the number of individual and corporate EITC/OSTC participants, and work closely with alumni and other important constituents to grow their affinity toward Roman Catholic High School.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential Duties:
· Design, implement, and manage the Annual Giving program, including cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of donors. Maintain calendar of activities, appeals, reporting, publications, and events to achieve strategic and revenue-generating goals.
· Create and execute growth plans for EITC/OSTC participants that outline goals and strategies for the fiscal year. Serve as lead contact for those interested in participating.
· Promote and foster effective alumni relations through written communication and personal contact with constituent groups. Serve as a resource to alumni and others regarding alumni related programs and activities.
· Oversee publication of The Empire (including annual report) and monthly e-newsletter, from conception through implementation.
· Plan and facilitate donor-related events and engagement opportunities.
· Collaborate and work with the Executive Director to support and improve development efforts.
· Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS (Education/Training and Experience/Skills)
Required:
· Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution.
· 3-5 years of demonstrated successful experience in relationship management (fundraising, alumni relations, sales, or another related field).
· Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with alumni, donors, administrators, faculty, staff, and other key constituents.
· Strong written, verbal, research, customer service, project management, organizational, and interpersonal skills; demonstrated ability to relate well to individuals from diverse backgrounds.
· Possess initiative, leadership, enthusiasm, a sense of humor, and a willingness to take risks.
· Poised and engaging with an intellectual depth, maturity, judgement, and professionalism to earn the confidence and trust of both colleagues and external stakeholders.
· Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality.
· Skilled in using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
· Knowledge of, and commitment to, the mission of Roman Catholic High School.
Preferred:
· Fundraising and solicitation experience.
· Valid Driver’s License.
· Knowledge of Blackbaud/Raiser’s Edge or other customer relations software.
· Physical Requirements and/or Unusual Work Hours (if applicable)
· This position requires some local and regional travel for alumni events and to visit with prospective donors.
· Some events may require work hours outside the business day or on weekends.
SALARY AND BENEFITS
This is a 12-month, full-time position with benefits. Salary is competitive and commensurate with experience.
