As a Dining Services Supervisor, you will be responsible for assisting in the successful operation and customer service of the dining service department.
Major Responsibilities
The Dining Services Supervisor will:
- Assists the Dining Services Manager with running the day-to-day operation of dining services with a primary focus on the front of house operations.
- Ensures client/resident service and satisfaction with efficient cost effective management meeting and exceeding stated expectations.
- Assists in the responsibility for all foodservice-related activities; including menu/recipe prep, catering, quality improvement, sanitation, infection control and all facility-related activities.
- Ensures that the Dining Rooms are properly setup for meal service
- Trains Serving Staff in the proper Steps of Service and how to use the Ordering System. (POS)
- Interacts with the residents or guests and addresses any needs or concerns they may have about dining services.
- Assures the residents has a positive Dining Service Experience. May be asked to help round or survey residents on their food service experience and present ideas to enhance that experience.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- ServSafe Manager Certification is required after 90-days- Training provided on campus.
- ServSafe Alcohol Certification is required after 90-days
- Continued In-Services as required by Federal, State and Local agencies for Assisted Living.
- Some knowledge of food and catering trends with a focus on quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, and presentation.
- Bar Wine knowledge- pairings of drinks and wines with different meals helpful.
- Communication skills both written and verbal and ability to communicate with management, client, customer and associate levels.
- Computer skills and knowledge of MS Office products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and internet.
- Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs., stand on hard surface flooring for long periods of time.
- Speaking, hearing, reading and effective writing skills are also expected
- Must have previous service experience in full-service dining venue
- Two years of supervisory experience a plus
