Position Summary:

The Director of Medical Education is responsible for the development, delivery, and monitoring of education for all medical providers. This will include education delivery via synchronous and asynchronous means. There will be an estimated travel requirement of 25% of the FTE.

Essential Job Duties:

Design, develop, disseminate, and maintain provider-facing educational content, including curricula, competencies, pre/post-test evaluations, all aimed at building a best-in-class workforce capable of managing and providing for the complex needs of a high-acuity patient population.

Deliver a competency-based curriculum to all prescribing providers throughout BrightView Health.

Develop education for use in our learning management system

Develop and deliver ongoing synopses of essential findings in the literature

Help establish standards of care, Medical practice guidelines, treatment protocols, policies, and procedures to define Medical service expectations and intervention methods across the BrightView footprint, with state-by-state nuance as appropriate

Organize initial and continuing education programs and activities among Medical staff, promoting a culture of total quality management, constant growth, learning, and improvement

Provide timely, comprehensive reports to the CMO, as directed.

Work to obtain CEU’s for content delivered

Work with all other educators to develop the best-in-class educational experience

20-25% travel time required

Qualifications:

Knowledge of treatment mechanisms and guidelines within addiction treatment practices

Strong interpersonal and communication skills; experience in effectively communicating key data, including presentations to diverse groups of internal and external stakeholders, clinicians, and non-clinicians

Strong organizational skills; must be able to manage and prioritize multiple business objectives and projects with the proper sense of urgency

Robust experience collaborating with various medical providers (MD, DO, APRN, PA, RN, LPN), with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to maintain a positive collaborative relationship among team members

Required Education/Degree:

PA/NP/MD/DO

Required Certification/License:

Unencumbered Ohio, Medial licensure (must obtain within first 6 months)

Required Work Experience:

Experience in addiction care in an outpatient and/or intensive outpatient milieu, with knowledge of recovery, mental health, and other co-occurring disorders

Experience in crisis intervention, conflict resolution, and working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

Management training and leadership experience

Preferred Work Experience:

Ten years or more of Addiction Medicine experience required

Five years or more of direct delivery of Medical education on
