Pay Rate: $147,528 - $184,410, DOE

To cultivate an innovative culture built around the Chumash Enterprises core values. This is accomplished by impacting the team member experience through the strategic leadership of the Human Resources (HR) team's initiatives, programs and policies that balance the needs of the team members with the goals of the enterprise.

This role and its function are part of the Human Resources shared services model. A Team Member in a shared service structure, works within a dedicated business unit (including people, processes, and technologies) that is structured as a centralized point of service and is focused on defined business functions. These units typically serve multiple business groups enterprise wide, and typically have established Service Level Agreements.

This role has a matrixed job structure. A Team Member in a matrixed job has multiple reporting relationships. Reporting lines are often based on functional and business groups in which the job supports, with functional department typically being the primary. In this role, the primary reporting relationship is to the Chief Human Resource Officer, and secondly to the Chief Executive Officer, with responsibility to the Tribal Health and Tribal Government. Identified managers set explicit expectations and have input into performance appraisals.


JOB REQUIREMENTS:



Education

  • High School diploma or GED certificate.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or equivalent experience.

Experience

  • Ten years of Human Resource experience and five years in a management role in a strategic Human Resource discipline.
  • PHR/SPHR designation or Certificate in Strategic/HR Management preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of recruitment and employee relations practices, methodologies, and strategies.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of federal and state laws and regulations relating to recruitment and employee relations.
  • Knowledge of applicable law, regulations, rules, procedures, and administration is required.
  • Bilingual (English and Spanish) preferred.
  • Intermediate computer proficiency utilizing Microsoft applications, email, and Internet and HRIS systems.
  • Must apply for, receive, and maintain a Gaming License from the Tribal Gaming Agency.
  • Native American hiring preference applies.
