Probate Pro (www.TheProbatePro.com), a division of the Darren Findling Law Firm, PLC, is a growing probate, estate planning, and elder law firm with offices in Michigan, Illinois, and Ohio. The Probate Pro is seeking a Human Resources Director for its Royal Oak, MI office. The candidate will be expected to cross-train in a variety of office functions and will work in a team environment.
We are looking for an experienced Human Resources Professional to ensure that all human resource (HR) operations are carried on smoothly and effectively. You will be responsible for developing HR strategies and providing sound advice to senior management on all related subjects. As our HR Director, you must be an experienced professional with deep knowledge of all matters concerning HR departments. You should be able to manage programs and lead staff while also possessing a strong strategic mindset.

Responsibilities
- Develop corporate plans for a variety of HR matters such as compensation, benefits, talent acquisition, health and safety etc.
- Identify and provide client-focused solutions that drive effective business results through the alignment of human resources best practices to strategic business goals.
- Act to support the human factor in the company by devising strategies for performance evaluation, staffing, training and development etc.
- Oversee all HR initiatives, systems and tactics.
- Supervise the work of HR personnel and provide guidance.
- Serve as the point of contact for employment relations and communicate.
- Monitor adherence to internal policies and legal standards.
- Provide strategic consultation and education to senior business leaders on human capital matters resulting in improved decision making.
- Deal with grievances and violations invoking disciplinary action when required.
- Anticipate and resolve litigation risks.
- Report to senior management by analyzing data and using HR metrics.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an HR Director for a minimum of seven (7) years as a HR Manager with a company with 150+ employees.
- Adoption of company Core Values.
- Full understanding of the way an organization operates to meet its objectives.
- Excellent knowledge of employment legislation and regulations.
- Thorough knowledge of human resource management principles and best practices.
- A business acumen partnered with attention to the human element.
- Knowledge of data analysis and reporting.
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
- Diligent and firm with high ethical standards.
- Ability to work outside normal business hours when necessary.
- Experienced partnering with senior leadership on complex matters.
- BSc/BA in human resources, business administration or relevant field; MSc/MA in human resources will be a plus.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $70,000.00 per year
